An attorney for Johnny Depp-Amber Heard claimed that one of the jury members in the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard
defamation case was served incorrectly. Heard's lawyer filed a recent motion asking the court to declare a mistrial
and to order a new trial. Juror No. 1 has been identified by "newly discovered facts"
Heard's attorney stated in a five page memo that Friday at Virginia's Fairfax Circuit Court
Heard did not claim that Juror No. 15 was the person summoned to the case in April.
The filing indicates that Juror No. 15 was a younger person with the same lastname who "apparently," lived at the same address.
The Court is certain to agree that it is extremely troubling for an individual who has not been summoned for jury duty to still
appear for jury duty and serve as a juror, particularly in a case like this," the filing stated.
Depp sued his ex wife over an op-ed Heard published in The Washington Post December 2018. It described herself as "a public figure representing Domestic Abuse.

Most of the testimony was focused on Heard's claims that she had been sexually and physically abused. Depp claimed he didn't hit Heard
and that she was the abuser. The jury sided with Depp on all three claims related to 2018 pieces.
